Nice and Easy: Tapa Tapa ExCel West
Officially the closest restaurant to ExCel you can’t get easier then Tapa Tapa! Their low key tapas menu is great if you just want to chill out, have a beer and pick at some great food from around the world!
With a large number of tapas dishes on the menu being gluten-free, there is truly something for every member of your team here. Tapa Tapa also offers several menus including multiple set menus making it the perfect location for a large number of guests. If you book in advance for your group make sure to take advantage of their private dining room for up to 14 people! What better way to unwind with your colleagues than with the relaxing Spanish atmosphere of Tapa Tapa, great drinks, and even better food!
Sit down restaurant: Yi-Ban, ExCel East
Who doesn’t love sitting down to a Chinese after a busy couple of days at a show or build up! While most people head to China Palace at ExCel West to celebrate a successful show, we head the opposite direction towards ExCel East, where you stumble upon a hidden (in plain sight) gem! Yi-Ban has been one of our favorite spots to head to after handing over a successful stand for years!
Hidden in what looks like a warehouse, right on the river with spectacular views, this beautiful restaurant not only offers impeccable service and delicious food but also offers tables for large groups! A great plus if you are trying to find a table for the whole team during an exhibition!
Fine Chinese food with something to suit everybody’s taste it’s also a great place to take a client for that all important wine and dine during the show!
Great location if you are staying at: DoubleTree by Hilton, Aloft ExCel, Hampton by Hilton, Travelodge ExCel, Moxy or the Holiday Inn.
Farther Afield: O2 Bars and Restaurants
Are you an old pro at exhibiting? Feel like you have eaten at all ExCel has to offer and don’t mind the adventure to get there? London O2 is a great option for you then! Just a short trip away on the Emirates Air Line cable car, you can enjoy great views of London and access a plethora of bars and restaurants for the low price of a tube trip! Just use your Oyster card or contactless card on the entrance to enjoy your £3.50 trip! But keep an eye on the times of the last car home as they vary day-to-day!
Once you get to the O2 the world is your oyster with something to eat for all tastes! From Italian to Rio street food back to burgers and hot dogs you won’t be short on places to choose. Perfect for treating the whole team without spending a fortune at restaurants you are familiar with!
Fancy a drink or two after your meal? There are also plenty of bars in the O2, so if you are looking at having a couple of drinks with your colleagues after the show look no further! This little village is packed full of options so grab a beer (or cocktail) and enjoy this little escape from ExCel!
